I2CDriver has shipped, and other developments

I²CShipping I²CDriver has taken up a lot of energy over the past two weeks. So here are some brief notes on what's ongoing at Excamera Labs.

If you're an I²CDriver backer, your pledge reward has shipped. The very last of the orders shipped this morning. The last orders to ship were the personalized units for the gold-level backers. Thanks everyone for making this such a success.

I²CDriver and SPIDriver are now on sale in the Excamera Store. In addition they will go on sale on Amazon in a few days.

Gameduino 3 is temporarily out of stock. There is another batch in the pipeline, but for now the best bet for GD3 purchases is Cool Components in the UK, and Watterott Electronic in Germany. Both ship worldwide.

There is a new TermDriver in the works. The current batch of TermDrivers have all sold, so it is also out of stock. The new one will be available in March.

This month week we assembled, tested and packaged about 5000 I2C modules for the I²CDriver rewards. The modules are part of a new  product line, electricdollarstore.com. This will be a stand-alone store that sells low-cost modules, with an emphasis on interchangeable I²C modules. The I²CDriver premium backers have handfuls of the modules included in their rewards packages. Here are three of them - a piezo buzzer:

They are all controlled by I²C, have a common footprint (18 x 18mm), and will be priced low enough for everyone to grab bundles of them for hacking and prototyping. You can stick a few of them together to make a small functional block - here's an egg timer made of the buzzer, potentiometer and the display.
